Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Vedasha Organics collects when you use vedashaorganics.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

What we collect

  • Mobile number: to log you in with a one-time code sent on WhatsApp, and to send order updates.
  • Name and delivery addresses: to deliver your orders and print invoices.
  • Order history: the products you buy, amounts, payment method and delivery status.
  • Optional profile details you choose to add, such as email, date of birth, gender or Prakriti, and details you share when booking a consultation (your concern and preferred time).
  • Technical data: a login cookie, your language choice, and the items in your cart (kept in your browser). Our servers keep standard logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security.

We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Online payments are handled entirely by our payment gateway, Cashfree Payments, on their secure page.

How we use it

  • To create your account, process and deliver orders, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer support.
  • To send you WhatsApp messages about your login and your orders (confirmation, shipping and delivery).
  • To arrange consultations you book.
  • To prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them (for example, by subscribing to our newsletter).

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only what each one needs:

  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business), to deliver login codes and order updates.
  • Cashfree Payments, to process online payments and refunds.
  • Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order (name, phone and address).
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
  • Government authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it is active. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally 8 years). Login codes expire after 5 minutes and are deleted.

Your rights

You can see and update your profile and addresses in My account. You can also ask us to correct your data, or to delete your account and the personal data we are not required to keep, by contacting us below. You can withdraw consent at any time; we may then be unable to provide some services, such as delivering orders.

Security

The site uses HTTPS everywhere. Login is protected by one-time codes with limited attempts, and access to customer data is restricted to the people who need it to run the store.

Children

The store is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be shown on the site.
